I am writing to you today regarding some changes in how VideoRay does business in Norway.
VideoRay has decided to terminate our business relationship with Seaspection. Effective immediately, Seaspection will no longer be an authorized VideoRay Dealer or an Authorized Service Center.
Recently we have learned that some VideoRay products distributed in Norway have been modified without our knowledge. These modifications include, but are not limited to, control panel power supplies and submersible cameras. Unfortunately, these modifications have not gone through the VideoRay quality acceptance process and void the product warranty.
We understand how important VideoRay’s warranty and in-country service are to you. VideoRay will run a program to inspect any VideoRay ROV system sold into Norway through 31 March 2018. If you are concerned that your system may have been modified and would like to get it checked, please contact VideoRay’s Authorized Service Center - BUVI Undervannsinspeksjon AS. Our new Authorized Service Center in Norway will perform a VideoRay factory 30-point inspection listing any recommended repairs and upgrades. You can then decide what repair or upgrade items make sense for you (if any). We will also inspect your system for any modifications – and if any are found we will notify you and return any unwanted modifications back to VideoRay specification. This program will run through 31 March 2018 - any VideoRay product that has been modified will not be covered by the VideoRay factory warranty.
